Take a steady approach
Wear suitable protective gear and make yourself visible. Check that the motorcycle responds as expected, tyres look sound and lights are working. If something seems wrong, stop and seek help before continuing.
Keep learning
On the road, look well ahead, maintain space and adjust your speed to the conditions. Be alert to surfaces, parked vehicles and the movement of other road users. Practise new skills only in a suitable safe setting with appropriate guidance.
